CHERRY LOAF

This cherry loaf cake is so easy and quick to make and tastes like a cake. It's a quick bread recipe you can't stop eating, speckled with maraschino cherries that added a great flavor to the loaf!


Cherry maraschino is just what I used to garnish my homemade cake. I tried it in this cherry loaf, and it came out so exquisite. It's now a winner recipe for my home.


This method calls for the dry ingredients to be whisked together well in one bowl.  All the liquid ingredients are mixed in a separate bowl with oil or a fat that been liquefied (and, often, the sugar is mixed in with the liquid ingredients).  The liquid ingredients are then simply added to the dry ingredients and stirred together just until the ingredients are well combined.


Ingredients

300g all purpose flour

1/3 cup chopped maraschino cherries

2 large eggs

1-1/2 tsp baking powder

4 tbsp sugar

3/4 cup milk

1/4 cup maraschino cherry juice

1/8 tsp salt

1/2 cup olive oil

I tsp vanilla extract



Directions

🔸️Combine the dry ingredients and set asides. Whisk the wet ingredients together.

🔸️Stir in the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and combine.

🔸️Add chopped cherries until combined.

🔸️Pour batter in a greased loaf pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 350° for 30-40 minutes.

🔸️Remove from the oven and cool before digging in!
